History

The Ridolfo family business began in 1957 when the late Vince Ridolfo started harvesting and transporting wooden power poles in his used Ford truck for what was then the State Energy Commission of WA (SECWA).

The Ridolfos expanded and diversified their services over the following years, and by the mid-seventies had grown this business arm into one of the largest privately-owned transport companies in Australia. This was the beginning of today’s IML Logistics.

The expansion  phase for Ridolfo Transport commenced with the acquisition of Wesfarmers Transports Logistics division in August 2001, and changing its name to  Ridolfo Logistics in the process. Following a rebrand to Intercon Logistics in 2005 the next step was the acquisition of M & J Millar Transport in April 2008, after which the two operations were merged to form Intercon Millar Logistics. This acquisition brought a focus on project-based work for the mining sector, 3PL provider status and an even more extensive fleet to the company. From July 2011 Intercon Millar Logistics is now known as IML Logistics.

Today IML Logistics sits alongside three companies under the Ridolfo Group’s corporate umbrella and provides a range of warehousing and transport services, specialising in inventory management and distribution for clients in the mining and resource sector, as well as a diverse range of industries across the country.
